Jackie Fans Meeting in Birmingham On Saturday, 12th July, 2008, the English city of Birmingham saw a historic moment: the first time that 7 people, who had previously only known each other from an online Jackie Chan forum, met in person. We had come together from all corners of England and also from Germany to get to know each other, get to know the city, watch The Forbidden Kingdom and raise some money for the Build a School for a Dollar fund. We were a bit nervous, how all this would be, but in the end we had a wonderful day and found that we got on well, even when we did not chat about Jackie. In the afternoon we exchanged Jackie treasures that we had brought from home and everybody donated some money for them, so that in the end we counted the sum of 90 GBP (about 170 USD) that will be donated to Jackie's charity. Finally we watched The Forbidden Kingdom and we all loved it. We were proud of Jackie and proud to be his fans – and happy that we had made new friends. Jackie Chan has once more brought people together – thank you, Jackie.
