            Here
is your first word for today : Namaste this word is used as a greeting
either to say hello or Goodbye.
            Repeat
after me: Namaste And Again : Namaste
            Very,
              Very Good !!!!
            Aaj
ke liye itna hi kaafi hai, in other words - this is about enough
              for today.

                Lesson 2
              Namaste
to all You Dear Jackie Fans,
              I
hope that you are all well, happy and full of energy to embrace
your day no matter what it turns out to be like.
              There
might be sunshine and then there might be thunderclouds hanging
over your heads. Life is a challenge - and so we must face it.
Soon I will teach you a Hindi song about life with these words
                in it.
              But
                for now
Are you ready for your second Hindi Lesson? Oh Brilliant,
that's what I love to hear.
              Did
you know that India has two other names? Ah ha. That's right.
India is known as Bharat or Hindustan by it's people.
              The
Indian Flag is called a Tiranga - repeat after me Tiranga. Tiranga
means three colors. We do know that the Indian Flag is White,
Orange and Green - hence it's name.
              The
Indian flag also has a blue spinning wheel in the middle. That
spinning wheel or circle symbolizes unity. There is more detail
on the blue circle, but for now I think, we will skip that, more
of that in our next lesson.
              Jai
Hind - means Victory to India - Jai means victory and Hind comes
                from the word Hindustan.
              Let's
revise what we've learned today -
Bharat, Hindustan are the two names for India and
Tiranga is the name of the Indian flag
Jai hind - Victory to India
              Well
I hope that you brilliant folks have mastered these words. Aaj
ke liye itna hi kaafi hai - and that means - That's about enough
                for today.
              So
take care you all, and Keep on Smiling
                Lotsa love
                Aarti
              Namaste!

would I say "My name is Aarti" in Hindi? This is how
I would say it. "Mera naam Aarti Hai"
              How
would I say, "What is your name?"? This is how I would
say it. Aap ka naam kya hai ?
              Let's
                do that again, shall we?

              "Mere

Let's say that again together : "Mere pyare doston, aapka
swagat hai" That was not difficult, now was it ?
              Remember
I spoke about teaching you a song in lesson 2? Let's start preparing
                for that.
              I
will teach you the first phrase of the first stanza today, and
then with lesson 5, I will teach you the second phrase, and so
on and so forth. Eventually, we will have learnt the words before
                we can sing the song.
              Ready
for the first phrase? Cool - you guys are real Jackie Chan Fans..
                always enthusiastic.
              Har
ghadi badal rahi hai roop zindagi = this means "At every
second, life is changing it's shape"
              Once
                more ?
Har ghadi badal rahi hai roop zindagi
              Oh
                you are so clever!
              How
would uncle say Jackie One more thing? This is how he would say
it " Jackie ek aur baat"
              Ok
now without the Uncle accent = Jackie, ek aur baat - Lessons are
not going to work if you don't practice !
              Aaj
ke liya itna hi kaafi hai - and by now, I am sure you know what
                that sentence means
              Take
                care God Bless
                Keep on smiling

              Lesson 5
            Namaste!
            Mere
pyare doston, aap ka swagat hai. Do you clever chan fans remember
what that sentence means? I am sure you do, it means My dear friends,
              welcome
            Let's
build on that sentence. I will add the following..
            Aasha
hai ke aap sab kush hai . This sentence means I hope that you are
              all happy.
            Let's
say both these sentences together now :
Mere pyare doston, apka swagat hai; Aasha hai ke aap sab khush hai
              - excellent!
            You
guys are just the best, brilliant and hardworking -
            Right!
              On with the show
 Song time !
Second phrase for our song is
Chow hai kabhi, kabhi hai dhoop zindagi This means sometimes life
is like the shade - cool and comfortable, and sometimes it's like
              the blistering heat - unbearable.
Once more ? Chow hai kabhi, kabhi hai dhoop zindagi.
            Let's
put together the first phrase and the second phrase
Har ghadi badal rahi hai roop zindagi
Chow hai kabhi, kabhi hai doop zindagi

Aaj ke liya itna hi kaafi hai. ok I'll say it.. that's about enough
              for today.
            Wear
a smile as genuine as Jackie's, wear a smile as beautiful as Jackie's.

              Lesson 6
            Namaste
mere pyare doston Aap ka swagat hai. - You might have gathered that
this means "Hello my dear friends, welcome."
            Aaj
ek naya din hai, aur is naye din ke saat, mai aap sabko ek naya
Hindi paat pardhane ja rahin hoon. Don't fret - I'll explain
            This
means J Today is a new day and with this new day, I am going to
teach you a new Hindi lesson.
            As
we know parts of Myth is going to be filmed in Rajasthan. As Rajasthan
is a Princely state, I want to take you through a Royal lesson.
            Kings
and Queens, Princes and Princess ruled that particular state in
              India.
            The
Hindi word for King is "Raja"
Great King is "Maharaja". Remember the "Maharaja
              of NEVADA"
            In
Hindi the word for Queen is "Rani"
              Great Queen is "Maharani"
Now let's look at the Actress Mallika, who will star in Myth. She
has a name which also means "Queen". How about that, Hey?
Yes, J Mallika means "Queen" in the Urdu Language. Urdu
is mainly spoken by the Muslim community. Urdu these days has merged
with Hindi and become a whole new Bollywood language.
            In
Hindi Prince is "Rajkumar" and Princess is Rajkumari
            Have
              you got that J Wonderful!
            Now
              it's song time J
The third phrase of our song is :
Har pal yaha ji bhar jiyo - this means live every moment to the
fullest. In other words live life to the fullest no matter what
              the situation.
            Now
let's put all three phrases together :
Har ghadi badal rahi hai roop zindagi
Chow hai kabhi, kabhi hai dhoop Zindagi
Har pal yaha, ji bhar jiyo
            I hate
to leave, but I'll be back soon. Aaj ke liye itna hi kaafi hai.
              That's about enough for today.
            Apna
khayal rakhna - take care of yourself
Muskurate raho - Keep on smiling
              Lotsa love
              Aarti
              Namaste!

              Lesson 7
            Namaste
              Doston,
              That means: Hello Friends.
            I am
kinda hungry - have you heard of Papad? Papad is a crispy, round
flat, crunchy snack. Almost like a nacho but very, very thin and
              delicious with chutneys! Hmmmm yum.
Repeat after me : Papad. Again : Papad. Very Good!
            Now
tell me? Are you up to a challenge? Can you talk faster than Jackie
can fight? Today we are going to learn Hindi tounge twisters! Aaiyah!
              Well only one!
            So,
repeat after me : Kachcha papad, pakka papad this means. Raw papad,
              cooked papad.
Kachcha and pakka can also be used to describe fruit
              Green - Kachcha
              Ripe - Pakka
            Now
say the phrase again.. Kachcha papad, pakka papad.
            A little
faster now - Kachcha papad, pakka papad x 5. Oyi!!! That was difficult.
But you guys are so brilliant ! You really kept up. I am so proud
              of you!
            In
an old Bollywood movie called Yaarana (which means Friendship) Amithabh
Bachchan, who is now known as the Star of the Millenuim in Bollywood,
and whom I had the honor of meeting, uses this tongue twister to
fool his master and clear his vocal chords in preparation to sing!
            Take
              a listen :

Was that cool, or was that cool! WOW!

            Muskurato
              raho - Keep on smiling
Meri taraf se aapko dher sara pyar - lots of love from me
Haarsha - Yes, I have been given a new name J I hope you like it.
              I do.

            Mere
              pyare Doston,
Aasha hai ke aap sab khush hai J I hope that you are all happy.
            Today
I will teach you two different ways of saying "you" and
the difference between "Mai" and "Mein"
Do you remember "aap ka naam kya hai ?" What is your name?
            "Aap"
is used to address a person with respect - irrespective of age and
"Aap" is also used on a more formal basis.
"Tum" is also "you" and "Tum" is used
to address a person on a more causal basis.
            To
ask what is your name using "Tum" - I would say "Tumhara
              naam kya hai ?"
            To
ask who are you? I can ask either way "Aap kaun hai?"
              Or "Tum kaun ho?"
              "Kaun" - meaning "who"
            With
              me so far? Great Stuff!
            Do
you remember the sentence "Mai South Africa mein raheti hoon
              ?"
              Mai means "I"
              Mein - means "in"
Mai and Mein - they sound similar but don't mean the same. Mai South
Africa mein raheti hoon - notice where the words Mai and Mein are
              situated? Good!
            Now
my little and big gentlemen friends if you are listening, you won't
be saying "Raheti hoon" - you would say, "RAHATA
hoon". Hmm I am afraid, Hindi is about to become confusing
J but don't loose heart, you will learn.
            In
the Hindi Language - masculine and feminine is very prominent.
I, being a female would say - "Mai South Africa mein raheti
              hoon"
            Jackie,
being a male would say "Mai Hong Kong mein Raheta hoon"
              I live in Hong Kong.
              Got it ? Very good!
            Toh
J Aaj ke liye itna hi kaafi hai. So that's about enough for today
Phir Millenge - We will meet again.
            Lotsa
              love

              Lesson 9 - Song

South Africa se aapko Haarsha ka swagat hai. From South Africa,
              Haarsha welcomes you.
            Swaagat
              hai- meaning welcome.
            Are
you ready to start singing ? Excellent!
            Let's
recap the first stanza and it's meaning, shall we ?
            Har
ghadi badal rahi hai roop zindagi
At every second life is changing its shape
            Chow
hai kabhi, kabhi hai dhoop zindagi
Sometimes life is like the shade - cool and comfortable and sometimes
life is like the blistering heat - unbearable
            Har
              pal yaha ji bhar jiyo,
Live every situation of life to the fullest
            Jo
hai samma, kal ho na ho
The moment we have right now, may not be there to live again - tomorrow
              may never come.
            We
are now going to sing the song. I am afraid, I am going to embarrass
myself because I sing terribly ! Not even half as good as Jackie.
In fact, not nearly as good. But I am sure you can. You're all such
good singers, I know that you are J So
 Let me embarrass myself..
            Sing
.La
              lala la
.
            Har
ghadi badal rahi hai roop zindagi
Chow hai kabhi, kabhi hai dhoop zindagi
Har pal yaha ji bhar jiyo,
Jo hai samma, kal ho na ho
            Hmmm
              nicely embarrassed
 ok
Aaj ke liye itna hi kaafi hai.
( that's about enough for today)
              Muskurate raho (keep on smiling)

              Lesson 10
            Namaste
Mere pyare doston Aap ka swagat hai
            Hello
              my dear friends, Welcome
            Do
you remember Jackie saying, "Reach for the sky Roy!"
            Today
I am going to teach all you Chen Long fans to say. "We will
              touch the sky"
            Notice
the music in the background? The last phrase of the song is:
            Dharti
              per hum chalte hai par
              Choo lenge aasmaan
            Let's
              examine it closely:
            Dharti
              - earth
              Hum - we
              Chalte - to walk
Par - This is a simplified word for "but". Remember in
my previous lesson, I said Urdu and Hindi are used in a mix as a
              new Bollywood language?
Choo lenge - we will touch
              Aasmaan - sky
            The
              sentence means :
Dharti per hum chalte hai par - We walk on the Earth, but
Choo lenge aasmaan - We will touch the sky.
            I taught
you this phrase my dear ones, so that you will not only remember
the phrase in your mind, but also in your hearts. Reach for the
Sky - always strive to touch the sky!
            Aaj
ke liye itna hi kaafi hai - that's about enough for today
              Muskurate raho (Keep on Smiling)
Apna khayal rakhna (Take care of yourself)
Meri taraf se appko dher sara pyar (Lots of love from me)
            Haarsha

              song - Artist: Sonu Nigaam

            Sing:
Har ghadi badal rahi hai roop zindagi
Chow hai kabhi, kabhi hai dhoop zindagi
Har pal yaha ji bhar jiyo
Jo hai samma, Kal ho na ho
            Haarsha:
Aap ko yeh awaaz kaisi lagi ? OK I will explain what I have just
              said
            Yeh
              awaaz - this voice
Kaisi lagi - how do you like it ?
            The
sentence is Aap ko yeh awaaz kaisi lagi ? How did you like this
voice ? Stunning hey Yes, that was none other than Sonu Nigaam,
Bollywood's most famed, number one singing star. (My Favorite)
            Doston,
humare Jackie hamesha kahete hai, "Do not live your life with
regrets" That means "Our Jackie always says, do not live
your life with regrets" This song basically means the same-
              :
Tomorrow may never come - Kal ho na ho.
            I thought
you should hear the song, which helps make it easier to learn the
Hindi words, now that you know the meaning. (And of course, my singing
              isn't all that great)
            Phir
Millenge - we will meet again
              God Bless you all

              Lesson 12
            Namaste
Mere pyare doston Aasha hai ke aap sab khush hai. That means Hello
my dear friends, I hope that you are all happy
            Let's
break up that sentence and look at it a little closer.
            Aasha
              = hope
              Aap sab = you all
              Khush = happy
            You
              got that ? Grreat Stuffff
            Aaj
mai bohot khush hoon = this means = today, I am very happy
            Aaj
              = today
              Mai = I
              Bohot = very
              Khush = Happy
              Hoon - Am
            Did
you know that Hindi, is very flexible - just like our Jackie
            Let's
              look at this sentence
Who are you? Remember I said that you
could either say Aap or Tum as the word You.
            In
Hindi one can say this sentence in three ways !! Oh yes, Let me
              show you how..
            Who
are you? - Kaun ho tum ? or Tum ho kaun ? or Tum kaun ho ? See I
told you it was flexible just like Jackie
            Aaj
ke liye itna hi kaafi hai - That's about enough for today!
            Take
care all you Chantastic People in Jackie Land
Meri taraf se aap ko dher sara pyar - Lotsa love from me

            Aap
              ki Haarsha - Your Haarsha
            God
              Bless,
            Phir

            Namaste
              Mere pyare doston,
            Aapko
South Africa se Haarsha ka swagat hai - From South Africa, Haarsha
              Welcomes you
            Remember
I told you, that Namaste is used as a greeting to either say Hello
              or goodbye?
            Did
You Chan fans know that in the Hindi Language, there is no word
for goodbye? Often, instead of Namaste, people would say
            Phir
Millenge - we will meet again
              Or
              Aagya - permission.
              Or
              Mai jawoon - May I leave ?
            These
words combined will sound like this :
Aagya ho, to mai jawoon ? If I have your permission, may I leave?
            Another
              way of saying goodbye is:
Mai chalti hoon or as our gentlemen friends would say - Mai chalta
hoon. Which means, I am leaving.
            Of
all the many ways of saying goodbye I like to use "Phir Millenge"

            Someone
once told me that the world is round and through our journey of
life, we are bound to cross paths.
            To
aaj ke liye itna hi kaafi hai - So that's about enough for today
Apna khayal Rakhna - take care of yourself

              Lesson 14
            Mere
pyare doston, aapka swagat hai - meaning My dear friends, welcome

            I was
thinking - Mai sonch rahin thi - how would I say "The loyal
citizens of Jackie Land" First - let's see if Jackie Land or
Jackie's World would sound better ok ?
            Jackie
land would be - Jackie Nagar
Jackie's World would be Jackie ki Duniya
            World
              = Duniya
              Land or village = Nagar
Citizens (Now remember this is plural) = Vaasiyon or rahene wallon

Singular would be - Vaasi or Rahene wali (feminine) Rahene wala
              (masculine)
            So
this is how I would address all you Chan Fans: Jackie Nagar ke vaasiyon
or Jackie Nagar ke rahene wallon.
            If
I was asked which country do I live in - I could say Mai South Africa
ki rahene walli hoon - I am a South African Citizen/ I live in South
              Africa
            Jackie
would say Mai Hong Kong ka rahene walla hoon - I am a Hong Kong
Citizen / I live in Hong Kong
            You
all with me ? Oh great stuff !
            Let's
ask a very common question - How are you?
In Hindi it would be " Kaise hai aap?" or Aap Kaise hai?"
Remember I said Hindi was flexible? See here is another sentence
which is flexible. Also remember that I could use the word TUM for
a more informal question "Tum kaise ho?" or "Kasie
              ho tum?"
            To
mere Jackie nagar ke vaasiyon, aaj ke liye itna hi kaafi hai = which
means - my Citizens of Jackie Land, that's about enough for today.
            Take
              Care, God Bless
Muskurate raho - keep on smiling

            Yes
I understand it's not easy, but then again, nothing is easy. Every
              thing is difficult.
            The
word for difficult is - Kathin - the Bollywood version of the word
              is Mushkil (urdu term)
            I am
also learning to speak Mandarin.. and oh boy! Mandarin seekhna bohot
mushkil hai. To learn Mandarin is very difficult.
            But
I am trying - Mai koshish kar rahin hoon
Gentlemen, you would say, mai koshish kar RAHA hoon - I am trying.

              Lesson 16
            Namaste
Doston Aasha hai ke aap sab kush hai - Hello friends, I hope that
              you are all happy!
            How
often we say "OK" Quite often huh? When someone asks you
              : How are you?
Often we say "I am OK" or "I am fine thanks"
Do you geniuses remember how we ask "How are you in Hindi?"
              Good!
            Kaise
hai aap? Or aap kaise hai? (How are you?)
            We
would answer to that by saying "Mai thik hoon" or with
a little respect "Ji, mai thik hoon" - Which means "
              I am ok"
            If
you say "OK, I am going" you would say, "Thik hai,
mai jaa rahin hoon" Gentlemen friends, you would say "Thik
              hai mai jaa RAHA hoon"
            "Ji"
This word is used to mark respect for a person and it is also used
to say "yes" or "Sir / Maam" If I had to say
Jackie's name with respect I would say Jackieji. His full name would
be Jackie Chanji or simply Chanji
            If
someone called out my name, I would answer "Ji" - meaning
              "yes" with respect.
Very informally "Yes" can also be said as - "Haan"
Haan yeh mera hai - Yes this is mine
            You
all with me? Ah! You are such brilliant students
            To
aaj ke liye itna hi kafi hai - So that's about enough for today
Apna Khayal Rakhna - take care of yourself

              Lesson 17

Doston, mere pyare doston. Aiye, aapka swagat hai Come on in, Welcome

            Zindagi
meaning "life" Yes, we go from Kal ho na ho - "Tomorrow
may never be" to a solution on how to live! Well, it depends
              on the individual.
You hear this vibey music ? Its says:
Ek pal ka jina - we live for a moment
Phir to hai jaana - then we have to leave
Tofa kya leke jaaiye - what gifts do we take
Dil yeh batana - Oh my heart do tell
Khali haat aaye the hum - we came here empty handed
Khali haat jaayenge - we will go empty handed
Bas pyar ke do meethe bol - just a few words of sweet love
              jilmilayenge - will sparkle
To haans kyon ke - So laugh, because
Duniya ko hai haansana - we have to make the world laugh (keep the
              world happy)
            Aye
mere dil - oh my heart
Tu gaye ja - you go on singing
Ayi aaeya oh aaeya - another way of saying la lalalaa la laa lalaa..
            So
              we have heard the words:
              Dil : heart
Jina : life / or live
              Batana - to tell
              Khali - empty
              Haat - hand or hands
              Meethe bol - Sweet words
And the best word of all - PYAR - LOVE!
              Tofa - Gift
            This
is another one of the challenging lessons. Almost like Jackie doing
a car chase on roller skates !
            Lekin
doston, yeh ek meetha sandesh hai - but my friends, this is a sweet
message. Isse bhoolna nahin - don't forget it.
            Spread
love, and life will be filled with happiness.
            Aaj
ke liye yeh to bohot zyada hai - This is a bit too much for today

              Lesson 18

Mere pyare doston, Aaj mai aapse kuch maangna chahati hoon. My Dear
friends, To day I am going to ask something from you.
            Mujhe
kshama kijiye - Please forgive me.
            Maine
aapko ghalat samachar diya hai - I have given you wrong information.
            Jackie's
new movie "Myth" isn't going to be filmed in Rajasthan
but in another historically rich, and royal state Vijayanagar. The
Capital of Vijayanagar is Hampi. That is where the movie is going
              to be shot.
            If
you have forgiven me, may I add a positive side to this? The positive
side is, you have already been informed of the Royalty in the north
of India, Rajasthan. Toady I will tell you about the Southern part
of Indian Royalty, which is a lot richer than the North.
            I assume
that is why that location was selected. Very good choice indeed.
It is going make a great setting for the movie.

From what I read, it's the ideal location. Previously rich, now
in ruins, but still holds the truth from the past. If you would
like more info on Vijayanagar, Hampi, then just do a search on the
internet and you will find a host of information which will nourish
your knowledge even more. It's worth the search.
            The
Capital city is called the - "Rajdhani"
Vijayanagar ki Rajdhani - Hampi hai. - The capital city of Vijaynagar
              is Hampi.
South Africa ki Rajdhani Pretoria hai - The Capital city of South
              Africa is Pretoria
            I asked
your forgiveness earlier. I used the word "Mujhe" This
the appropriate word for "I" or "Me" if you
want something or ask for something for yourself
            I also
said Kshama - this is the word for Forgive . This is the pure Hindi
word for "forgive". The Bollywood word or the urdu word
              is "Mwaaf"
            So
to fit in with bollywood style you would say, Mujhe Mwaaf kijiye
              - with respect - Please forgive me
A More Simplified or casual way would be - Mujhe mwaaf kardo - "forgive
              me"
            The
Hindi language does not have a word for "sorry" Instead,
the phrase "Mujhe Mwaaf kiijye" or "Mwaaf kijiye"
              is used.
            Aaj
ke liye itna hi kaafi hai - that's about enough for today.
Apna Khayal rakhna - Take care of yourself

It's called "Chak de" which is a Punjabi term for "let

              The words are:
            Hans
ke tu dekh to ek baar - Just laugh once and you will see
Khud hi aajayegi phir bahaar - Spring will automatically come your

Aaya din naya - a new day has come

Chak de, chak de, chak de, chak de tere sang hai hum - Toss it,

the Sonu Nigamji - That was Sonu Nigam! Have I told you he is my
fav bollywood singer? I have??? Oops..
            Well
I decided to elaborate on a few words in this song
            You
heard the words "tere" and "hum"
            Let's
look at the sentence: Tere Sang hai hum - This means I am with you
Now there are many ways of say "I" using the same sentence
              - Again - Hindi flexible, like Jackie !
Tere sang hai hum - another way of saying this would be
              Tere sang hoon mai

Notice when the word hai is used - instead of mai we use hum
When we use hoon - we use mai
            We
also heard Tu, and Tere - these are even more casual terms for "you".
Even more casual than Tumhara or tumhare. It's a very simplified
version of Hindi and used very commonly among friends of the same
              age.
            I hope
you all got that you clever Chantastic people!
            Aaj
ke liye itna hi kaafi hai
            Apna
Khayal Rakha AUR muskurate raho - Take care of yourselves AND keep
              on smiling

            Mere
pyare doston, aaiye baithiye - My dear friends, come along, take
              a seat.
            Aaiye
              - Come in, or come along
Baithiye - Take a seat (with respect)
Baitho - would be "take a seat" but said in a casual way.
            Are
you all happy chappies in Chan land today? Wonderful
            But
I have something on my mind - yeah, it is Jackie's new movie
            Aaj
mai sonch rahin thi - Today I was thinking
Agar Jackie ke naye movie Hampi mein banegi, to movie mein Hindi
nahin hogi. In other words - If Jackie's new movie is going to be
filmed in Hampi, then there won't be Hindi in the movie.
            Ji
haan - Yes! Hampi is in the South of India - Karnataka. In that
region of the world, Tamil is spoken and not Hindi.
Can you hear those voices in the background. That is a Tamil song
              - South of India has their own film industry and its called Korumbakum
              and not Bollywood.
            I know
a few words of Tamil, but cannot speak it at all. In my opinion,
I would think Chinese is easier to speak than Tamil.
            Chalo,
jo mujhe maloom hai, woh mai aapko seekhawoongi - Nevermind, what

the North the greeting is "Namaste" - Well done, you remembered

            Now,
in the South, the greeting is Vanakam - Vanakam. Good!
            This
is the equivalent to Namaste but it is Tamil, a South Indian Language.

To aaj ke liye itna hi kaafi hai - (That's about enough for today)

            Doston,
namaste! Aapka Swagat hai - Friends Hello, welcome
            Aapko

pardta hai? Movie mein Jackie to honge na ?
            Whether
the movie has English (Angrezi), Chinese (Chine) Hindi or Tamil,
what difference does it make? The movie will have Jackie in it right?
            And
if you are having trouble with languages
 Mai hoon na ! I
am here Just knock on my door and I'll be there for you!
            Let's
go back to Lesson 20 - Tere sang hai hum - remember that ? Good!

We also said Tere sang hoon mai - I am with you
Now you have learnt Mai hoon naa - meaning "I am here"
              (for you)
            Today's
song corner is cool - I love it - Not only because Sonu Nigam sings
on the Sound track, but the song in question is picturised on my
fav bollywood star Sha Rukh Khan!
            Lets
              look at the lyrics :
Kiska hai yeh tumko - For whom are you
Intezaar - waiting (an urdu term)
Mai hoon na - I am here
Dekh lo idhar tu ek baar - look at me just once
Mai hoon na - I am here
            Khamosh
kyon ho - why are you quiet
Jo bhi kahena ha kaho - say whatever you like
Dil chahe jitna pyar - any amount of love your heart desires
Utna manglo - just ask for it
Tum ko milega utna pyar - you will get that amount of love you desire
Mai hoon na J - I am here
            To
aaj ke liye itna hi kaafi hai

              Lesson 23
            Mere
              pyare doston, Namaste
            Aaj
hum kuch baatein karenge Today we will have a conversation.
            Aaj
aapka din kaisa raha ? How was your day today ?
            Mera
din bohot achcha tha - my day was very good
            Lets
look at the meaning of these words
            Aaj
              - today
              Aapka - your
              Din - Day
              Kaisa - how
              Achcha - good
              Bohot - very
Baatien - to talk - or conversation
Hum - we - this could also be used as I. So it is ok to use hum
in the plural sense as well as the singular sense.
            Let's
have that conversation once more. (Repeat Sentences)
Oh good! You guys are so clever I am so proud of you
            Aasha
hai ke app sab bohot kuch hai - I hope that you all are very happy

              Lesson 24
            Suno!
Suno! Jackie Nagar ke waasiyon Kumari Haarsha aap ke samne haazir
              ho rahi hai

            Sounds
funny hey ? But that my dear friends is called an "Ailaan"
              - Announcement.
            In
the days gone by, the Royal servants always began their announcements
with "Suno Suno" just before any of the royal family members
were make themselves seen in the villages.
            "Suno
Suno" - Meaning "Listen" or "Attention"
            From
our past lessons, I am sure you know what "Jackie Nagar ke
wasiyon means" ? Right? Yes, it means "The people / citizens
              of Jackie Land"
            Kumari
              Haarsha = that's me - Ms Haarsha
            If
it was to announce the queen it would be Maharani.. so & so..

If it were the King - it would be Maharaj so & so aap ke samne
              haazir ho rahe hai
            Aap
ke saamne haazir -being presented before you
            Ho
rahin hai = being - completing the sentence
            So
the sentence means - Attention, Attention, The citizens of Jackie
Land, Ms Haarsha is now being presented before you. (Sounds funny
              in English hey ? )
            Speaking
of languages that may sound funny - let's see, we have in our Hindi
              Lessons, covered Chinese, Tamil
a lot of English and how about
              sommmme ZULU!? Yes

Jo hai thani - what I please
            Chale

              be Panchiyan
Gagan - sky - gagan gagan - many skies - meaning many countries.
Jaye - means to go/ or goes
              Titli - butterfly - titliya - butterflies
Chaman - field - chaman chaman - fields

              through our journey of life

            Namaste
mere pyare doston. Aap ko Haarsha ka swagat hai!
            Hello
my dear friends. Haarsha welcomes you!
            Aaj
(today) hum (we) ek (a or one) poorani (old) siksha (lesson) phir
se (again) yaad (revise or remember) karenge (will be)
Today we will be revising an old lesson.
            Remember
I told you that Hindi has Masculine and Feminine aspects in grammar?
We are going to learn the basics from a song. Listen carefully
.
            Song
              plays

Vocal female: Yeh kaisa ladka hai?
Vocal male: Yeh kaisi ladki hai?
            The
girls sings : Yeh kaisa ladka hai? Meaning: What kind of guy (boy)
              is this?
The boy sings: Yeh Kaisi Ladki hai? Meaning: What kind of girl is
              this?
            [Now
this is a song of two friends - a guy and a girl who are best friends
however, they keep on fighting with each other. The song has complaints
from both the girl and the boy.]
            Notice
that the girl says LADK(A) (boy) to address the boy and also uses
KAIS(A) (what kind of) when referring to him.
            Notice
that the boy uses LADK(I) (girl) to address the girl and also uses
KAIS(I) (what kind of) when referring to her.
            Deewana
means silly and can you guess how it would be used to say this girl
is silly and this boy is silly? OK
 listen up

            Male
vocalist: Yeh ladki hai deewani, hai deewani - This girl is silly,
              is silly
Female vocalist: Yeh ladka hai deewana, hai deewana - This guy is
              silly, is silly
            Aaj
ke liye itna hi kaafi hai - That's about enough for today
            Muskurate
              raho - Keep on smiling
            Meri
taraf se aap ko dher sara pyar - Lots of love from me..
            Haarsha

              Namaste Doston
            Aapka
swagat hai. To chaliye, aaj hum chalte chalte apni siksha ko aage
              badhayenge.
            To
(so) chaliye (come along), aaj (Today) hum (we) Chalte chalte (walking
along) apni (our) siksha (lesson) ko aage (to move) badhayenge (move
              forward/ahead/grow)
            This
means - So come along, today we are going to move ahead in our lesson
              by walking along
            Today
I am going to elaborate on masculine and feminine. Yes! You guessed
right. We are going to use another song to help usJ
            Listen
              carefully
            Male
Vocalist: Chalte chalte yu hin rookjaata hoon mai
For no reason while walking along, I stop
Baithe baithe kahin khojata hoon mai
While sitting down, I start to day dream
Kahete kahete hi chuphojata hoon mai
Whilst speaking I suddenly fall silent
Kya yeh hi pyar hai? x 2
              Is this love?
Female vocal: Haan yeh hi pyar hai! x 2
              Yes this is love!
            Did
you notice that there was a common word in that song? It was Jata.
Now listen what happens when the lady sings.
            Female
Vocal: Chalte chalte yu hin rookjaati hoon mai
For no reason while walking along, I stop
Baithe baithe kahin khojati hoon mai
While sitting down, I start to day dream
Kahete kahete hi chuphojati hoon mai
Whilst speaking I suddenly fall silent
Kya yeh hi pyar hai? x 2
              Is this love?
Male Vocal: Haan yeh hi pyar hai! x 2
              Yes this is love!
            Did
you notice what happened to Jata ? It became Jati!
            Do
you know what a verb is ? Correct! It is a word of action or a doing
word. In Hindi mostly masculine and feminine comes in to support
the verb to complete the sentence to suite the person. In the first
sentence, the verb is Rook (stop) and jata is used for masculine
and jati is used for feminine which then completes the verb.

              Lesson 29
            Mere
              Pyare Doston Namaste!
            Chalo
aaj ki siksha mein hum kuch alag sa karenge
Come, let's do
              something different in today's lesson
            Jab
mai Hong Kong mein thi - mujhe baar baar aisa laga tha ke mai apne
              hi desh mein hoon
When I was in Hong Kong, many a times it
felt as if I was in my own country.
            Sometimes
we look at the obvious: like the people, politics, cultures, food
and the seasons various severities and we don't quite realize that
the sun, the moon, the sky, is a common factor and that every country
is part of this world - just as a puzzle with many pieces that make
              a bigger picture
so too are we all connected at a higher level.
            Take
              a listen to this:
            Dharti
              sunaheri ambar neela
The earth is golden, the sky is blue
              Har mausam rangeela
              Every season is colourful
              Aisa des hai mera
This is what my country is like
            Bole
              papiha koyal gaye
The parrots speak and the nightingale sings
              Sawan ghir ke aaye
The rains gather heavily in its appraoch
              Aisa des hai mera
This is what my country is like
            Mere
des mein mehmano ko bhagwan kaha jata hai
In my country, guests are known to be treated as God
Who yahin ka hojata hai jo kahin se bhi aata hai
He becomes part of my country, no matter where he comes from
            Tere
              des ko maine dekha
              I have seen your coutnry
              Tere des ko maine jana
              I have understood your country
              Jane kyon yeh lagta hai
I don't know why it seems
              Mujhko jana pehechana
              Very familiar to me
Yaha bhi wahin sham hai wahin sawera
Here too the sunsets are the same and the sunrises are the same
              Wahin sham hai wahin sawera
The sunsets are the same and the sunrises are the same
Aisa hi des hai mera jaisa des hai tera
My country is the same as your country
Waisa des hai tera jaisa des hai tera
Your country is just like that country
Aisa des hai mera jaisa des hai tera
My country is just like your country
            Aap
is baat pe dhyan dijiye, aur hum apni agli siksha mein is geet ke
              bol aap ko samjhayenge.
You can give today's lesson some thought and in my next lesson I
will teach you the meaning of these words of the song.
            Aaaj
ke liye itna hi kaafi hai. - That's about enough for tody.
            Apna
khayal rakhna - Take Care of yourself
            Haarsha

              Lesson 30

Mere pyare doston, aasha hai ke aap sab khush hai. - My dear friends,
I hope that you are all happy!
            Today
I am going to teach you to say, "Where are you going?"

If you are talking to a female, you will say
            Aap
kaha ja rahin hai? Or Tum kaha ja rahin ho? Or Tu kaha jaa rahin
hai Or quite simply - Kaha ja rahin ho? = Where are you going?
            Remember
I said that there are many ways to say "You" and even
              many ways to say "I"
            Let's
say the sentence "where are you going", slowly
Repeat
              after me.
            Aap
              Kaha ja rahin hai? Good!
            Now
let's say it with the word "Tum" - Repeat after me
.
            Tum
              Kaha jaa rahin ho?
            Now
let's put these sentences together with a little bit of speed.
              (repeat sentences)
            Do
you remember the lesson on the different ways of saying "You"
              and "I"?
            The
many ways of saying YOU is:
Aap (respect), Tum, and Tu (very informally)
            The
many ways of saying "I" is:
Mai, Mujhe (if I want something) and Hum
 You and I = Mai
aur Tum, or Aap aur mai or Hum aur Tum or simply Hum Tum!
            Stay
tuned for the next lesson in which we will say "Aap kaha ja
rahe ho" meaning - saying the same sentence to a male.
            Aaj
ke liye itna hi kaafi hai !
            Meri
taraf se appko dher sara pyar
              Haarsha
            Soundtrack
              & song: Hum Tum
              Movie: Hum Tum
Vocals: Alka Yagnik and Babul Supriyo
              Yash Raj Films.
